🚨 SMART ALERT: Community Safety Advice 🚨

We are encouraging all residents to remain vigilant and take simple steps to help keep themselves, their families, and their property safe.

🏠 Home Security

Always lock doors and windows, even when you are at home or leaving for a short time.

Keep valuables out of sight and secure vehicle keys away from doors and windows.

Ensure sheds, garages, and outbuildings are locked and secure.

🚶 Personal Safety

Stay aware of your surroundings, particularly when walking alone or after dark.

Stick to well-lit and populated areas where possible.

Let someone know your plans if travelling alone.

🚗 Vehicle Security

Remove valuables from your vehicle or keep them out of sight.

Ensure vehicles are locked and windows are fully closed.

Consider using additional security devices where appropriate.

👀 Be a Good Neighbour

Look out for elderly or vulnerable neighbours.

Report any suspicious activity or persons acting unusually in your area.

Share crime prevention advice with family, friends, and neighbours.

📞 Reporting Matters

If you witness a crime in progress or there is an immediate risk to life, call 999.

For non-emergency incidents or suspicious activity, contact 101 or report online.

By staying alert and working together, we can help keep our communities safe.
